The general stagnation in the mobile technology market continues at best. You can not resist this impression also looking at the changes introduced by Apple in the watchOS. On the one hand, rumors say that in autumn we will get a changed look of the watch and a slightly larger screen, on the other hand the complete status quo in the operating system.

Yes – watchOS 8 is watchOS 7 with cosmetic changes of the symptomless kind 😉 If you own an application for Apple Watch and this application works properly on watchOS 6 and watchOS 7, the new version of watchOS 8 – at least at the stage of the current beta – you can in good conscience ignore. Of course, there are some minor changes in the system itself – new watch faces, new small user-oriented functions, etc., but in terms of issues under which i consider new versions of operating systems – possible required corrections in applications and the need to update them – no changes have been noted. This watchOS update is primarily intended for end users, for developers it brings little, and for app owners nothing.
